The concert for Adrian's scholarship. The boys...enough said.

Mitchell received his Eagle. Thank you for all your support.

The Draper Temple Open House. We all had a great time together and the temple was beautiful!

Sydnie Quotes (as told by Grandma)

Audrie to Syd, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” “I want to be a teacher. But I’m going to home school my little girl even if she doesn’t want to. I’ll tell her that we’ll take a break after 15 minutes. And we’ll do that three times, then I’ll tell her we’ll be through.”

August 2005

When Audrie came home Saturday morning form taking a test, Natalie asked, "Where were you. I thought you were lost." Later that afternoon when Natalie took the car to visit friends in Lehi, Sydnie cautioned her, "Natalie, drive careful; don't get lost."

Sydnie tells lots of stories that include the "Poopy Monster."

May 2006

Sydnie wanted more grape juice because "I'm thirsty," she said. "Since you have already had juice this morning, why don't you just have a drink of water," I asked. "But," she said, "water isn't so tasty."

Sydnie loves to do her mom's hair. The other evening after she had finished putting in the last hairclip, Audrie scooted her off to bed following all of her nightly preparations. Later, the doorbell rang. It was one of the boys scout leaders. After he left, Audrie discovered why he had such an embarassed look on his face. Yes, she was still wearing Sydnie's doo.

Sydnie and I had just watched the "Chicken Little" DVD for the third time when she said, "Let's watch it again." "Why don't we watch something different this time?" "No, I love this movie. I been finking about it for a long time. I was finking about it on my birthday, and I was finking about it on Halloween, and I was finking about it on Christmas, and my mom just got it-not for my birthday, not for Halloween, not for Christmas, and not for Valentine's- she just bought it at the store!!

Gladys passed away in February, and her funeral was held on February 14th. Audrie had to take Sydnie with her to the funeral. After the funeral, Sydnie and Audrie both went into the restroom. Sydnie thought it was pretty cool to share that experience with her mom. Sydnie called to Audrie from her stall, "You okay Mom? What are you doing- peepee or poopy?" In whispered tones, Audrie responded, "Sydnie, please."

February 2006

Sydnie was excited when they went to see the Christmas lights on temple square. As they entered the grounds, she exclaimed, "This is 'Square Temple!'" Something like her "train, train, choo."

Natalie drove her mom's car to a friends when someone backed up into the door. It was terribly upsetting for Natalie, and for Sydnie as well. Sydnie angrily said, "Our car is Roon-ned." (Exasperated look and pause) "Okay, we take our car to Grandma's, and Grandma give us her car." Audrie answered, "Grandma doesn't want to give us her car, she loves her car." In astonishment, Sydnie questioned, "She loves her car?"

On Feb 3rd, Sydnie exclaimed with a concerned look on her face, "Grandma, my tooth come out!" And then she giggled, "It came out and me didn't even know it. It's so wonderful!! I'm so happy!! Me put it under my pillow and the tooth fairy come and give me some money!"

"Oh, I love orange," exclaimed Sydnie, "It's my favorite secondary color."

Audrie was trying to get Mitch to do his homework when Sydnie came up the stairs and began chastising her mom saying, "MOM! One nation under God, with liberty and justice for all."

Audrie was trying to stop the boys from arguing, Sydnie stood with hands on her hips saying, "Okay, okay, just calm down, calm down!"
